For the past year I've been pouring all my evil juju into developing my dogboy "Scoot". During this period I've gotten several emails politely inquiring as to why I'm spending so much time on this one character. My response is to say that Scoot is a symbol to me - an embodiment of the animalistic qualities in men that terrified me as a kid, obsess me as an adult, and am afraid of losing as I grow older. I conclude by saying that my goal is to end up with a series of images that are monument to my fuck'd-up vision of the male animal.

And what will I do with this series of images? I dunno.

Instead of an email list I use a yahoo group to notify friends when I'm up to something new. If you're interested in my work I hope you'll join:

My recent mania for monkeys has left a lot of people scratching their heads. You see, I've always had this "thing" about men being dominated by beings seemingly less powerful they are, and besides, the comic possiblities of monkeys are endless. Well, to me they are.

Make sure that your remote doesn't fall into the wrong hands...
Lately I've been as inspired by 'Tom and Jerry' as 'Tom of Finland' .

Discovering how many guys aren't familiar with this image that I'm ripping-off / paying hommage to has made me feel really ancient.

I liked drawing that old mattress so much it's got me thinking that Scoot might end up as a junk yard dog.

I just can't seem to get this monkey off my back.
